These terms cover your use of the Sow Ahead allotment planner. It is run by Sow Ahead. By creating an account or using the planner you agree to these terms.
The service
Sow Ahead is a planner for allotments and growing plots: a plot map, beds, crops, jobs and notes. It is a planning aid. Weather, sowing dates and harvests depend on things we cannot control, so we cannot promise any particular result in your plot.
Your plan and free trial
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial. We take your card details through Stripe when the trial starts, but you are not charged during the trial.
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, the paid plan starts when the trial ends and your card is charged £35 a year.
- The plan costs £35 a year. It renews every year, and your card is charged again each time, until you cancel. The price is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Each account gets one free trial. Some accounts are given free access by the site owner, and free access can be withdrawn.
Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from the Plan page (in Settings, choose "Manage or cancel your plan"). You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, or the end of the trial, and then the plan stops. It will not renew.
- You have 14 days from signing up to try the planner and cancel for nothing. That is the free trial. After the first payment we do not normally refund, but this does not limit any legal right you have to cancel or to a refund. Contact us at hello@sowahead.co.uk.
- If you were charged and did not mean to be, tell us promptly and we will look at it fairly. Nothing here limits your legal rights as a consumer.
Your plans and photos
What you put in the planner stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it back to you, and nothing else. Please only upload photos you are happy to have stored and that do not break anyone's rights. We may suspend an account that is used to harm the service or other people. If you cancel, we keep your plans and photos for 3 years so you can come back and pick up where you left off, and then delete them. You can delete your plans and photos yourself at any time in Settings ("Wipe my plans and data"). That does not cancel your plan, so cancel it separately if you want to stop paying. You can also ask us to delete your account and everything in it.
Keeping your data safe
We take sensible care of your data, but no online service is perfect. Keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose: the planner has a backup option in Settings. The privacy page explains how we handle your information.
Our responsibility
We provide the planner with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit anything the law does not allow us to, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud. Subject to that, we are only responsible for loss that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our duty of care. We are not responsible for how your crops turn out, or for the planner being unavailable for short periods while we maintain it.
Changes
We may improve or change the planner. If we change the price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then if you do not agree. If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you before the change applies.
Law and contact
